Indian Person Acquires Guinness World Record For a 909.6 Cm Long Fingernail

The nails on his left hand, have been growing since he was at school, and has not cut them. That is before the first Guinness World Records book was even released. Shridhar, who hails from Maharashtra, has been formally recognised by Guinness as the man who has the ‘Longest Fingernails on One Hand’ and attributes in their 2016 version.

When Sridhar was in school, he chose to grow his nails as a challenge.”When I had been studying at school, we were once punished by our teacher, because my buddy broke his nail. The teacher had then grown a lengthy nail,” he said. When he asked the teacher why they were defeated for only ‘breaking his nail,’ the teacher said they’d not recognize as long nails had never grown.

Shridhar ‘took it’ and began growing his nails. His nails finally possess a cumulative length of 909.6cm. The most notable is his thumbnail which quantifies an amazing 197.8 cm and forms a tight coil at the end.

But it wasn’t difficult for Sridhar. He’d to be somewhat cautious specially when sleeping: “I can not go much, so every hour I will wake up and move my hands to the opposite side of the bed.” Friends and his family members did not approve of it.

“My family actually did not enjoy it, no one would wash my clothing and I ‘d to wash them by hand. Getting a job was likewise challenging, as no one was willing to use me,” he said in a interview to the Guinness World Records when they seen him in Maharashtra.

Nevertheless, Sridhar may soon eliminate the world record nails. Have them preserved in a museum and he intends to get his nails trim – but he is keeping the date of when this may occur a secret. “Now that I ‘m 78 years old, my nails are now a whole lot more sensitive because of my age, so my wish would be to maintain these nails in a museum,” he said.
