As the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage on; there was a speculation that the biggest annual film awards shows will be a virtual affair.
A representative from the Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences and channel ABC has said, “An in-person ceremony will be held for Oscars”. As the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage on, the biggest annual film awards will be virtual as per assumptions.

As the pandemic has great effects on the industry, the Oscars will be on April 25, 2021; eight weeks later than the originally planned, reported by the Academy in June. The date for feature films has been postponed to 28th February 2021.
The theatres would open again in spring to allow more movies compete in the ceremony, reported by the sources of Oscars by pushing the awards ceremony back. But if the Oscars will be held later in the Spring by shutting the movie theatres, the administrators are as always having a back-up plan to continue the awards virtually.
It is still not decided how many people will be invited inside the theatre of 3400-seated Dolby theatre, where the ceremony would take place. An award advertiser conversant with the condition reported
“The academy has done test of Dolby recently to have a look at all the multiple options”.
