Wi-Fi At 500 Indian Railway Stations – Google Announcement
Sundar Pichai, CEO Google announced that the company would arrange for high speed internet connections at 100 Indian railway stations at the initial stage and would stretch the same service to another 400 railway stations by the end of the coming year with the valid collaboration of Indian Railway authorities.
The announcement was made when Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India visited Google headquarters recently. A vibrant presentation was offered of Google Earth to Shri. Narendra Modi displaying different ghats of Varanashi, the Lok Sabha Constituency of the Prime Minister. Latest products and future researches were also displayed during the tour of Google campus
The map of first 100 railway stations identified to acquire high speed Wi-Fi was also released by Google. The official Google blog speaks very highly of the announcement, which states that at least 10 million people would be benefited through the first 100 Wi-Fi connections in railway stations.
