Superhuman Vision with the Bionic Eye Lens and An Eight Minute Surgery
The human eye normally has 20/20 vision, which means that a line of letters 20 feet away is readable by the normal human eye and is equal to the usual height of a giraffe.
You would be able to clearly see the clock 30 feet away with the Bionic lens whereas you see the clock plainly at 10 feet distance. You could see letters 60 feet way clearly with the Bionic lens, which is more than the length of the basketball court or 50 feet. You get sharper vision with clarity that you have never experienced.
The lens is called Ocumetics Bionic lens, which empowers the superhuman vision to normal individuals. The lens was discovered by Dr.Garth Webb, an optometric in Canada trying to increase the power of human eyesight irrespective of health or age.
It is the vision of the future. Besides the gain in vision power like a hawk, people undergoing the surgery would not face the problem of cataracts as the lens is a replacement of the natural eye, which ultimately worsens with age.
Dr.Webb told CBC that any individual over the age of 25 can undergo this eight minute surgery as the eye gets full development by the same age. He further added that the vision enrichment has been witnessed by the world for the first time. The perfectly folded custom-made lens is placed in the eye with help of a saline-filled syringe, which takes the shape of the eye in ten seconds when unfolded.
