Here Is A Strange Robotic Alarm Clock

A robotics enthusiast has engineered an especially alarming clock that repeatedly strikes 2) head using a rubber hand. Called The Aftermath Up Machine, it’s made utilizing a conventional alarm clock mounted to the wall with all the motorised arm, and it had been designed to ‘make bed slightly less cozy’.

Simone Giertz, 25, who describes herself as ‘somewhat of a specialist in s****y robots,’ constructed the torturous apparatus on her houseboat in Sweden. Placed over the bed, the arm whips about to repeatedly smack the slumbering man in the face when their alarm clock goes off.

In a YouTube video posted on her station, Giertz explained the best way to make the competitive machine and said the thought came from a Halloween prop of a bloody severed arm.

YouTube used nail varnish remover to wipe away the fake blood, saying the thought was ‘terrifying enough’ grisly details. The inventor subsequently constructed connections involving the clock, the Arduino microcontroller as well as a relay, housed in a can, to ensure when the alarm clock goes off, it activates a motor.
The motor, which can be joined to the arm, sends it whirling around.

While the creation is a surefire method of compelling anyone to awaken quickly, the image does have some drawbacks. For instance, Giertz’s hair got tangled up in the mechanism in a encounter she described as ‘more humiliating then distressing’.
