Ramadan 2016: Fasting & Your Health

When you are on an extensive fast like in Ramzan, you must take special care. You need to follow during Ramzan:

Remain hydrated as far as possible by taking coconut water or salt and sugar mix water.

Try to break the fast with food that includes grilled, steamed, baked meats, healthy green salads, chunk of vegetables. Prefer homemade sweets for sugar substitutes over rich desserts or just eat fruit or dried fruit.

Take two small meals at minimum after Iftar to maintain the body. One large grab may cause indigestion or acidity. Insert complex carbohydrates and fiber-rich meals.

Choose a bowl of oatmeal or simple upma made with super grain as the morning meal.
